Today I was lucky enough to be a guest at a wedding, which allowed me to see things, not from a photographer’s perspective, but more from that of the friends and families gathered for such a special occasion.
A beautiful unique moment to celebrate love.
One of the readings at today’s service really struck a chord with me and I’d like to share some of the words with you because the last few lines epitomise the journey I’m about to undertake.
“For each end, there is always a start. There is always another opportunity, another friend, another love, a new force.
The stars are illuminated so that everyone can one day find his own. One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye.
Make your life a dream and your dream a reality! The future, you do not have to predict it, but to allow it.”
One more week at work, and then the writing and photography will continue, along with the launch of my Working Mum group and who knows what other adventures.
It’s a time for reflection but also positive action taking and I literally can’t wait. My first few days will be filled with school visits, hopefully inspiring more children to love books and reading and writing.
And then there are the mums.
When I first outlined my purpose, I always knew it would be two-fold:
To inspire a love of books and the written word amongst children
To support, encourage and inspire working mums with a worldwide community of other like-minded women.
Now it’s time for me to heed those words from today and make my life a dream, and my dream a reality!
I’m so glad that you will be joining me along the way… x
